  1. Everyone has a favorite fairytale that they read when they were a child. I rememember I used to read Cinderella all the time, even before I saw the movie. It was my favorite fairy tale because I loved the characters. Cinderella and the mice were very nice and I always hated her step mothers and step sisters. I always wished the worst for them, and it was my favorite part when the duke fits the glass slipper on her foot. I liked the theme of the book and movie, where if you keep believing your dreams will come true. Even when you become an adult, you will always remember that fairytale you loved when you were little.

  2. My favorite fairytale is Cinderella. My favorite fairytale is Cinderella because in this story a slave girl gets to go to a ball and her and the prince fall in love. After, she leaves and doesn't tell him her name. He looks all over to find who the shoe that she lost fits. When he finally found her they live happily ever after. I think that this story is very important because she finds the man of her dreams and he fights to get her no matter what. Also this story symbolizes true love and i believe that this is very important. Lastly, it is also very important to marry someone that you are truly in love with and want to spend the rest of your life with. I believe that this story teaches many life lessons that can help you when you are older.

  3. My favorite fairytale I have read is Cinderella. She teaches you that your prince charming will come for you one day. She loses her glass slipper at the ball where she meets the love her life and he goes on a hunt to find her. True love is very important to both of them and goes to the extreme to find each other. Cinderella teaches you to be kind to people even if they are not very kind to you. She was a slave to her step mom and step sisters and they treated her horribly. She did as she was told and was always nice because she knew something good would come out of being a good person. This is why Cinderella is my favorite fairy tale; she teaches you things that can happen in life.

  4. My favorite fairytale when i was younger was The Three Little Pigs. I loved this story because i liked how the pigs wouldn't stop trying to build a house strong enough to withstand the wolf's harsh blow. For example, the wolf blew on the straw house, and it fell down, but the pigs ran away and built a house made of twigs. Once the wolf blew down the house made of twigs, they ran away again and built a house made of bricks. In conclusion, my favorite fairytale as a child was The Three Little Pigs.

  5. Everyone has a favorite fairytale that they've read, and mine would have to be The Little Mermaid because I was obsessed with it as a kid and it's a classic princess story. This story is about a mermaid named Ariel who wants to grow feet so that she can be with the love of her life; Prince Eric. The only way in which she can do this however, is by selling her voice to the sea witch Ursela. And because it's a classic Disney fairytale, Ariel and Eric end up falling in love and living happily ever after. This is a fun, upbeat story fulled with goofy charaters, lots of adventure, and some romance which is why it is my favorite fairytale.

My favorite fairy tale was Little Red Riding Hood. It was about a little girl who had to deliver food to her grandmother. A big wolf wants to eat the girl, but is afraid to do it in public. The little girl tells him where she is going. The wolf gains entry to the grandmother's house and swallows the grandmother whole. He then disguises himself as the grandmother and swallows little red riding hood whole. The then falls asleep. A lumberjack comes and cuts the wolf open, letting the girl and her grandmother out unharmed. I like this story because it is a creepy story with a twist at the end. It contains dramatic irony because we know the grandmother is actually the wolf, but Little Red Riding Hood does not know that.

My favorite fairytale is Chicken Little. It is my favorite because I like how Chicken Little goes from being a scared, shy individual, to a brave, mature person. Chicken Little does not fit in with the popular kids in school, and on his baseball team, when he gets put in, he can't do anything right. Later on in the story, when the coach tells him to take the walk because the pitcher is going to throw 4 balls, he works up the courage to swing the bat. He was so determined, that on the last swing that could have been his third strike, he hits the ball, and ends up getting an inside the park home run. Chicken Little's transformation also occurs when he sees a piece of a U.F.O. falling out of the sky. He tells someone that the sky is falling, but no one believes him. Later on in the story, it happens again, and he gets the chance to actually show them the U.F.O., and they believe him. Chicken Little is my favorite fairytale, because it shows how the main character's thoughts and feelings change to make him stand out.

  8. One my favorite fairytales is Alice in Wonderland because the author uses a lot of imagination and the character's are very interesting and unique. I love how in the beginning Alice is falling through a neverending hole and then she comes to the bottles that say "Drink Me" and the cake that says "Eat Me". I just find this very original and imaginative on the author's part. The characters have various personalities that make them interesting. For instance, the rabbit always worries about being late and carries his watch around everywhere and the Cheshire Cat has a creepy smile and he is mysterious. The imagination and uniqueness of the story make it my favorite.

  9. I can honestly say I have never fully read a fairy tale and only know the base line of several. Although I have never read one, I have heard of the the fairytale Repunzel.Repunzel is one of my favorite ones because of the creativity created by the author. I love the way the author uses Repunzel's hair is hook the reader into a romantic story. Although i have only heard of some fairtytales, the fairytale of Repunzel is my favorite.

  10. My favorite fairy tale is the Princess and The Pea. One of the reasons I really liked this fairy tale is because they start off not telling you why the parent interviewed all of the girls. The story was a kind of like a mystery so it gave you a reason for you to want to read more. Another reason was because they ended up falling in love so it made it one of those cute romantic stories. Everyone always loves a good ending and fairy tales are always happy at the end. Lastly the main reason I liked this story was because it was unrealistic which makes all fairy tales more exciting to read. The Princess and The Pea was unrealistic when the princess could feel the pea threw all the mattresses. The Princess and The Pea was a very interesting fairy tale.

One fairy tale I remember hearing from my grandmother was called The Gnome. This fairy tale was an old one that she had heard from her grandmother when she was a little girl and it is one of my favorite stories still to this day. One reason I like this tale is the suspense. In the story many people are going missing and you don't know who's doing it, or at least I didn't know who was doing it. Another reason is the violence. Even when I was a kid I enjoyed cartoon violence and other types of it, and in the story there's a huge fight against the Gnome and our hero. As I learned to read more I forgot about this old tale, but it does often pop back into my mind every now and then.

  12. My favorite fairytale is Beauty and The Beast for its theme. I have never actually read the book version of Beauty and The Beast however, I have seen the movie several time as a kid. This is my favorite fairytale because Belle is a perfect princess who you would most likely see marrying a tall handsome prince although Belle goes for someone who truly makes her feel happy and beautiful. The Beast is this special someone, he was tall and handsome but he turned into this big, furry and some might say ugly and scary. However Belle does not care for Beast’s appearance but for his charm. The Beast must find someone to love him for whom he is as a person and not for what he looks like and if he does then he will turn back to his “Prince” looking self. Belle does not know of this change he went through into a beast however she still falls in love with his personality. I love the theme of this movie because it tells the story that you do not have to love someone for their looks because that is not what matters, Belle loves Beast for his personality and that is what matters when two people are to fall in love.

  13. My favorite fairy tale is Peterr Pan. One thing that I like about Peter Pan is that it relates to me. Like Peter Pan, I never want to grow up and I think that I would have fun living in Neverland. Another thing I like about Peter Pan is that it isa very funny. It is very funny because Peter Pan and the Lost Boiys always humiliate Captain Hook. Captain Hook is the pirate who got his hand cut off by Peter Pan. One last thing that I like about Peter Pan is that it is a movie that I will never get tired of. I will never get tired of this movie because it is my favorite and I will be watching it 60 years from now when I am in a nursing home. As you can see, Peter Pan is my favorite fairy tale.

  14. My all time favorite fairytale is The Little Mermaid (Disney's version and childrens books). In the Little Mermaid, the little mermaid has beautiful red hair, the most amazing voice in the sea, and a tale. When I was a little kid I wanted to be a mermaid when I grew up (I was very disappointed to find out that I couldn't become a mermaid, and it was only possible to have ligitement jobs). I was fasinated by the idea of swimming non stop, and hanging out with sa creatures. I didn't understand until i was older the idea of the little mermaid falling in love with a boy, and trading her voice, and her tale for him. I loved the adventure she goes on and the silly things she does because she doesnt know different, for example brushing her long, red hair with a fork. The fairytale captured my imagination, and will always hold a place in my heart.

  15. My favorite fairytale that I read as a child was Rapunzel because I found it interesting, creative and I could relate to it. The story of Rapunzel is about a young girl who is raised by a witch. Her hair becomes very long during the years. When the girl grows old enough she is locked into a tower. The only way for people to exit and enter is by having Rapunzel let her long hair down to the ground and the person using it as a rope. A lovely prince comes by one day and ends up saving Rapunzel. The story of Rapunzel was interesting because as a young child, being locked in a castle was fascinating. I found the adventure of the prince saving Rapunzel to be exciting and I always wanted to know how it ended even though I had read it before. I found the story creative because the princess uses her long hair to help the prince climb up. I loved that original idea. It wasn’t like other stories I had read, it was different and I enjoyed the refreshing change. Lastly, I could relate to the story. Rapunzel had long beautiful blonde hair. As a child my hair was incredibly long as well. I always imagined myself growing out my hair long enough to be Rapunzel. I would imagine myself as Rapunzel on countless occasions. This made me love the story because being able to connect and relate to the story gave me fantasies to enjoy. The story of Rapunzel is not necessary the most popular fairytale, but it was my favorite as a child.

My favorite fairytale is The Emperor’s New Clothes. In this story, there is a very greedy emperor who is absolutely obsessed with his appearance, especially his clothes. When a couple of new weavers come to town, they boast that they will be able to make the emperor the best suit possible, one so good that only the smartest and hardest working people will be able to see. Of course, it turns out that the weavers weren’t actually making him a suit at all, just tricking him into thinking that he is bad at this job. Then, the emperor goes out into a parade through his kingdom wearing his new suit. The citizens of the kingdom are all too afraid to admit that they can’t see the suit, because if they do they might be judged as unintelligent, even though there really aren’t any clothes there. Finally, a child speaks up and says that the emperor doesn’t have any clothes on, and since an innocent child can’t see it the citizens start to realize that they were all just played by the weavers. I find this story very interesting because it shows how gullible and shallow people can actually be. The emperor was perfectly willing to go out in public without any clothes on, just because he thought he would look good to all of the intelligent people in his kingdom and that they would know he paid a lot of money for his clothes rather than thinking that he would be marching around barely clothed in front of all his people. This story teaches us a good lesson of how we shouldn’t have to change ourselves in order to impress others, because you might just make a fool of yourself in the end.

  17. My alltime favorite fairy tale is Peter Pan. Peter pan was a very good fairy tale because this story was very funny. In the story Peter Pan takes the three Darling family children named Wendy, Micheal, and John to a place called Neverland. In neverland any thing is possible. Their are Peter Pans helpers the lost boys who are very funny. Also there is a fairy called Tinker bell who can fly and do Magic. I was amazed by the fact that Tinker bell had the ability to give people the power to fly. In every fairy tale their is a villian. In this story the the villians are Captain Hook and Mr.Shme his goofy second in charge. This story is very funny because Captain hook always gets eaten by an crockodile. Also the lost boys are very goofy and do silly things. For these are the reasons that Peter Pan is my All tme favorite fairy tale.

  18. My favorite fairytale is Snow White. I like this story because of a few things. When they describe Snow White as having skin as white as snow, hair as black as ebony, and lips as red as blood, the reader really gets a mental picture of what Snow White looks like. Besides her beauty, you can have a vivid image of what she probably looks like, and you can picture her throughout the story which greatly enhances it. Another reason I like this fairytale, is because of the Seven Dwarves. You can really picture them, also. Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, etc, are very easy to picture. Not much complicated character development has to go into these characters, because their names really reflect who they are. As a child reading the story, they know the characters and do not have to think about complex characterization. I like the witch in Snow White, as well. She is evil, but yet so driven and determined to get what she wants. You are not supposed to route for the antagonist, but the antagonist in Snow White is really a strong character. She will go to any length to become the fairest in the land, even if it means poisoning Snow White. Again, there is no hard character development; the witch is evil, and there is no question about it. The last reason this is my favorite story, is because of the theme of true love. This is really the biggest fairytale of all of the stories. One’s supposed true love cannot kiss them to make them come back to life, but hearing it in a story can make you think "Prince Charming" is powerful. It may not be the message that little kids should be getting, but it is enjoyable for a fairytale, all the same. Snow White is my favorite fairytale for its impossibility and sweetness.

  19. My favorite fairytale would have to be The Little Mermaid. To be honest, I have never actually read the story, but from the Disney animated movie I know it is about a princess mermaid who longs to go and explore the world “up above” which is the world on land with human beings. The reasons I love this story so much have to do which the compelling characters and the message. To elaborate, in at least the animated version most of the characters are very likable and the villains, like the ells and Ursula are certainly despicable as they should be. It is important to have Ariel be so carefree and fun in the story because it helps her character development and makes her the genuine person of innocence she is that drives the story to be so good. Also, the other characters like Sebastian who watch over Ariel are good parental characters and offer comic relief which makes me enjoy the fairytale even more. Moreover, I really like the Little Mermaid’s storyline and overall message. Even though I had never read the original version, I do know that in it Ariel did not end up marrying the prince but died and became sea foam. Although this seems like a cruel ending, the fact that she became sea foam means that the prince truly loved here and that was satisfaction enough. I think the whole message of the story is to strive for what you want and know you can achieve. Ariel loses her voice in the animated version and in the real stories her tongue and life because she does not settle for the life she has but she gets the satisfaction of love and life on the land. I think it is important to go for what you believe in and very much like that it drives the story. Overall, the Little Mermaid is a wonderful, entertaining story.

  20. My favorite fairytale that I have read would be all of the Grim fairytales. They are my favorite for a number of reasons. I really like the Grim fairytales because they are really twisted. Disney versions of the stories have diluted the original tales and made them all happy ending. The Grim fairytales don’t let you believe that you will always meet your prince and have a happy ever after. Another reason I love Grim fairytales is because they teach you something in the story. Unlike the Disney stories who just show you a story about some girl who is punished by an evil queen or step mother and end up getting to marry a prince. That plot gets boring after the fifteenth book like that. Also, Grim fairytales are very well written but the wording and words used are unique making it fun and challenging to read. I have read a lot of fairytales but my favorites were the ones written by the Grim Brothers.

My favorite fairy tale is "The Tortoise and the Hair." I love this fairytale because the story has a great message to kids. The message is to never give up hope. I know this because the hair, or rabbit, is so much faster than the tortoise and challenges him to a race. The tortoise knows he cannot win, but he competes anyway. The hair underestimates the tortoise and take a nap while the tortoise keeps moving and helps those in need along the way. I think this is a great message to kids because in your future career, there will be many "hairs" , but if you keep on moving towards your goals and keep your morals high, you will succeed more than the hairs ever could. I have read many fairytales, but this one by far is my favorite.

  22. My favorite fairy tale would have to be Beauty and the Beast, even though I've never even read it before. This fairytale has always been my favorite, because Belle is that one person who isn't like everyone else, she's different, and because the beast has his own ticking time bomb going against him, the rose. This story has always gone through my mind- because Belle's so different from everyone else, usually people judge people by what they look like, but Belle goes and does what nobody else will, she falls in love with the Beast. As for the rose, I think it just helps add characteristic to the story, how if the rose's last petal falls and the Beast hasn't got Belle in love with him, he will be a Beast forever.

  23. My favorite fairytale I have read would be Jack and the Beanstalk. My grandfather used to read me that story in all different voices to me everytime I saw him when I was younger which is the main reason why I love the story so much. Each time, we would 'act out' the story in all different voices. I also love this story because it teaches a good lesson in which if you have nothing to loose, take chances. Jack, the main character and his mother are very poor and they ahve nothing so, Jack trades the cow for five magic beans in which in the end brings him great wealth. Here, Jack didn't have much to loose so he took a chance and in the end, it turned out great. I feel that you should always take chances especially if you have nothing to loose. Furthermore, the story is very visual meaning that you can picture it in your head but the author left it so that every little detail wasn't in place leaving you to choose what the objects and people looked like. Finally, the illistrations of the children's book I had were beautiful and I love art and drawings which is why this fairytale is my favorite. I have read a lot of fairytales and seen a lot of movies but by far, this is my favorite one.

  24. My favorite fairy tale is The Three Little Pigs because it is funny, it teaches a lesson and it has great characters. The first reason that The Three Little Pigs is my favorite fairy tale is because of its characters. The hungry wolf is hilarious, and it is always fun to see The Three Little Pigs get their houses blown down. The second reason why The Three Little Pigs is my favorite fairy tale is because it is very funny. When I was little, I always used to laugh at the pigs getting blown over by the big wolf, and I laughed so hard when the wolf couldn't blow the brick house over. The last reason The Three Little Pigs was my favorite fairy tale is because of the lesson it teaches. The Three Little Pigs teaches children to stay safe, mainly for the reason that the safest and strongest house in the book did not blow over. I enjoyed reading this story every time I picked it up, and The Three Little Pigs will always be my favorite fairy tale because of these three reasons.

  25. I've read a lot of fairytales in my lifetime, many of which I loved as a little kid. One of my favorites was always Pocahontas. I've always really loved Native Americans and their culture, ever since I was little. I guess the fact that it is so different is what struck me. All the other fairy tales are the same. There's a princess who is kind, and talks to birds that land on her finger. Then something bad happens to her, but she always remains optimistic, and some handsome prince comes and sweeps her off her feet and they get married after knowing each other for about ten minutes. Pocahontas is different. Yes, she is a princess, and has her little animal friends. But she seems to have more of a rebellious personality. Rebellious, but also wise. And, she doesn't go running off and marrying John Smith as soon as she meets him. She gets to know him, and they learn a lot about each other's cultures. She teaches him that life isn't all about wealth and gold and possesion. He learns to respect nature, and respect her people. Slowly, they fall in love. They actualy get to know each other! And, it's not the typical "happily ever after" ending. It breaks my heart, but at least it's a bit realistic. John Smith ends up getting shot while protecting Pocahontas's father, and he sails away to England. He offers Pocahontas to come with him, but she knows her people need her, so instead of being selfish and running off with her love, she reluctantly says goodbye, and stays to do her duty. That is where the story ends. And I love it because that is what makes it different. It feels like it could have actually happened.

My favorite fairytale was Beauty and the Beast. The candle in the movie was awesome. His accent was superb. The first time I saw the movie, I was scared so much the first time, I had to take a break from the movie. In general, the movie brought out my emotions. It was so bittersweet. When they added the deleted scene back into the movie, I was so proud, the " Human Again" song. I actually cried when the beast turned into a human again. It was so magical and I loved it. To this day, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale. Nothing can beat it for me. As a child I watched the movie over and over, until the tape died. This is how much I loved the movie.

  27. My favorite fairytale is The Little Mermaid. I have never read the story but I have seen the Disney movie many times. This is my favorite fairytale because Ariel is willing to give up her voice for three days in exchange for legs so she can be with her true love. If she doesn't get a kiss from him within three day then Ursula, the evil octupus lady, will turn Ariel back into a mermaid where she will then belong to Ursula. This shows how much Ariel truly loved Eric. She risked her freedom to be with him. I have read and seen a few fairytales but The Little Mermaid is definitely my favorite of all time.

  28. My favorite fairy tale was the Little Red Riding Hood, I used to read it a lot as a kid. It's about a girl who brings food to her grandmother. The girl goes through the woods in a red hood, and encounters a wolf. The wolf, who wants to eat her, gets her to tell him where she is going. After that, the wolf goes to the grandmothers house and eats the grandmother whole and pretends to be her. When the girl comes to the house, the wolf eats her whole. I like this story because of the little twist at the end, which kept making me read it.

  29. Many people have their own opinions about fairytales, but my favorite fairytale of all time has to be Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The reason I choose Goldilocks and the Three Bears is because of the suspense. I’ve read this book about a million times when I was a kid and every single time Goldilocks was sitting the bear’s seats I just knew something bad was going to happen to Goldilocks. Another reason why I loved Goldilocks as a kid was because of the ending of the story. The bears arrive home to find their chairs sat in, their porridge eaten, and a blonde little girl sleeping in Baby Bear’s bed, it got me every time with a laugh. This is why Goldilocks and the Three Bears is my favorite fairytale of all time.

  30. My favorite fairytale I have ever watched or read would be The Lion King. This story is my favorite fairytale because besides the fact that the characters are lions and other creatures, the points made in the story can be extrememly vaulable life lessons. This is true because during the whole movie the main character learns important lessons on either how to deal with certain situations or how to handle situations when things go wrong. Overall The Lion King was a great story, and the lessons you can take from the story can help you make better decisions in the future to come.

  31. My favorite fairytale would have to be Beauty and the Beast. Bell would have to be my favorite character and princess, because she cares so much for her father. She went on a search to find him when he didn't come home. Also, when she found him, she took his place, and became the beast's captive. I also enjoyed how at the end, when Bell saw the beast, and fell in love with him not because of his apperence (which was quite frightning), but because of the person he was. Another character I enjoyed in that story was the Beast. He may have seemed frightning at first, but he was only depressed, because he thought he would never become a prince again. All the characters in this story were lovely. The real and true reason I love this story is because of the message it has. The message to me is don't judge a book by it's cover. If Bell had judged the Beast, then who know's what would have happened?

  32. My favorite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. I've never read the book, but I know about it from watching the Disney movie. It is a story about a beautiful young girl that is kind, caring, and loves to read. You would imagine that she would fall for a handsome prince like all the other princesses do, but this isn't the case. She falls in love with the Beast, a prince who was turned into a scary, bitter monster covered in hair. But Belle looked past all this and fell in love with his personality, even though he wasn't handsome. This is what I love about this story. She could marry the most handsome man in her village, but she didn't like his personality. She looked past all of the looks and really focused on their mind. The other fairy tale princesses basically fall in love with the perfect and handsome men. Belle falls for the ugliest prince with a great personality. It shows that looks aren't the most important thing about people, their personality is.

  33. My favorite fairy tale of all time had to be Peter Pan, and there are multiple reasons for it being so. First off, I love stories with adventure and journeys to distant places. Peter Pan is extremely adventurous because he went from places like Neverland, back to our world, he fought pirates and Captain Hook, and flew high in the air with Tinkerbell. Furthermore, I really like the whole idea of being able to stay young forever, and live in a fantasy world, especially when I was younger. Peter Pan was pretty much completely about staying young forever, as that was the main purpose of Neverland. Stories like Peter Pan are timeless, and I will always remember it as my favorite fairy tale.

  34. My favorite fairytale of all time would have to be Cinderella.I have never actually read any fairytales but I really like this story because it concentrates on the underdogs. I have always rooted for the underdogs. Nobody expects the underdog to win. In this story, Cinderella is a maid. She lives an unfourtunate life and serves her evil stepmother and stepsisters. She must clean the house, cook for them, and cater to their every needs. She is always being bossed around and never gets to do anything that she wants to do. One night she is given an oppurtunity to go to a royal ball. There she meets the man of her dreams who happens to be a prince. Things start to look up for Cinderella but the clock strikes midnight and she has to be home before anyone finds out where she went. Cinderella goes back to her normal routine of being harassed by her "family." However, her Prince Charming comes to find her. They live happily ever after. I love this fairytale because it is a classic story where the underdog comes out on top. It also gives us hope that one day our own Prince Charming will come.

  35. My favorite fairy tale is the boy who cried wolf. This story teaches many lessons to the young readers. When I was little, my parents always used to read it to me because they didn't want me to lie. This story was also very good because it made kids think that if they lied things like this would happen to them. In the story, a little boy was lieing to get attention by the people in the town so the boy screamed that there is a wolf. When the people came to see they were baffled that the kid was lieing because it was such a serious issue. Then he did it again and they were more upset. The third and final time it happened there was a wolf and they didn't do anything about it because they didn't believe him. This is probably my favorite fairy tale because it taught kids a valuable lesson.

  36. My favorite fairytale is Cinderella because it teaches you to learn that you need to wait for good things and that if something is meant to be it will be. In the fairytale, Cinderella is always put down by her step sisters and never gets to do things like her sisters get to do. However, on the night of the ball she gets to go, even though her family isn't aware. She meets a fairy godmother that turns things to the best for her. While she is at the ball she meets her "prince" who she dances with. When she realizes the time she realizes she must get back home and runs off. She lost her shoe while running out and never returned to grab it. The prince picks up her shoe and sets out to find her. Once he finds her and is able to return her glass slipper everyone realizes they were meant to be. When Cinderella got to go to the ball and met her prince, Cinderella realized she had to wait for good things. When the prince set out to find Cinderella she realized that it truly was meant to be. Cinderella was my favorite fairytale because it set out a great message for children.

  37. One of my favorite fairytales is Cinderella because its just a classic. Its about a young girl who s left fatherless with an evil stepmother and insane step sisters. She does all of the housework, but never gets rewarded for it. She then decides to attend an annual ball held at her kings palace, with the help of her fairy godmother. Although she has fun and dances with the prince himself, her luck runs out at midnight. She rushes home before her family gets there, the magic wears off, and it seems like her life will go back to nothing again. Until, the prince starts a search with a shoe she left behind, and someone from his court goes to see who it belongs to in her home. As she puts the shoe on again, her dress reappears and the magic comes back. In the end she finally ends up with her prince and doesn't have to worry about her stepmother and sisters again. This story is one of my favorite fairytals because i feel like I can almost relate and believe in it. Just like Cinderella, i hope that one day all of my hard work will pay off. I want to believe that everything happens for a reason, just as Cindy can. Its as if it were her destiny for all of these events to occur. All in all, this is a fairytale that has taught me a lot.

  38. My favorite fairy tale would have to be the brilliant and gripping tale of Hunchback of Notre Dame. One of the main reasons I enjoyed this story greatly was because of its lesson or theme. The story told the tale of a disfigured bell tower keeper finding a beautiful women who falls in love with him. Another reason I like this story is it has a subtle comedic element, like with then gargoyles and his everyday life. Since Quasimodo is after all a hunch it is amusing to see him jump to reach things and struggle. although there are many good candidates for me to choose for my favorite fairy tale, the hunch back takes the cake for many reasons.

  39. My favorite fairy tale of all time would be Alice in Wonderland. One reason why I love the story because of the world it takes you into, Wonderland. It's a very strange and otherwordly place with very interesting characters. Wonderland is a jumble of abtract thoughts and ideas that confuse the mind and makes you enjoy it at the same time. It's always interesting to see where Alcie would go next. Also, the characters are memorable and crazy, which just adds to the fun that Wonderland brings. For example, The Mad Hatter. He's an insane man that loves hats and drinks a lot of tea. There's Cheshire Cat who is a very mysterious cat who smiles a lot and has a deranged personality of his own. Characters like these make me love this story. Another reason why I like this story is because it has a kind of theme to it. That theme being that you should accept people for who they are. The characters range from cats to catapillers, humans to cards, and no one critiszes anybody for who they are. Alice in Wonderland is easily my favorite fairy tale.

  40. To be honest, I’m not really fond of fairy tales. I understand that they were designed as a way to convey important ideas to children, but I never really enjoyed them. Part of the reason was, I don’t really like the sugar-coated Disney stories that I grew up with. I feel like these stories detract from whatever meaning that the stories, and popularize a version that has no value aside from entertainment. A fairy tale can be cheery, but the way that the modern versions show depict the struggles and toils of the main character, and set them to songs and dances, which distracts the audience from the original purpose of the fairy tale. Modern authors and screenwriters have even done this with stories in which the characters struggle with backbreaking labor and rejection from society. But even with these original stories, I feel like the sometimes mythical settings and characters ruin the message that was meant to be delivered to the kids. There are more logical and effective ways to depict the messages of these stories than hiding them behind stories. The Three Little Pigs could have shown the importance of a strong work ethic without a carnivorous wolf wandering from house to house while, “huffing, puffing, and blowing houses down.” Its inefficient to spend time crafting these stories when young minds can be shaped just as easily with a powerful message, free from elaborate ploys.

  41. My favorite fairytale is The Tortoise and The Hare. When I was little I used to read this story all the time. I enjoyed it so much because it taught me to never give up when faced with failure. The tortoise never gave up even though he knew the hare was faster. That taught me "slow and steady wins the race." Also it showed me no matter what the odds and what seems impossible tasks, if you keep going you will succeed . The tortious never stopped, while the hare was arrogant and presumed he would win. This fairytale has taught me numerous lessons about life.
