  1. That play was very incredible. The words definately make the play. I dont know how the playwrites do it. They can take a stage and trasform it into a forest with just one sentence "Well, this is the Forest of Arden". As those words were spoken I could imagine that stage as a forest, very incredible. The actors themselves make it seem like whatever they are saying is actually true in real life, the emotions the actors put in is amazing. I am definatley going back to that theatre to see another play.

  2. Entering the Globe has given me a new experience with the brilliant works of plays. No longer do I have to watch these masterpeices in a rented courtyard. I can listen to the words, and respect each one that is chosen, focusing on their meaning to the story. I am impressed with the people involved with these plays. You can see that this is their life. Their emotions and actions show their love for the play. I look forward to seeing another play in that theatre with just as much excellence.

  3. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first steeped into the arena. As the people around me began to sit down, I noticed a new mood in the air. Everyone became unsteady and almost giddy with excitement as the scene was set. I could imagine each setting as if it were painted right in front of my eyes. The play itself was mesmerizing, I would draw my breath after each bold sentence was spoken. You could see how much the actors put into their work. Simply put, I was left truly amazed and knew that this for sure would not be the last time I would attend one of Shakespeare's plays.

  4. The Globe was absolutely stunning. I was amazed with what I was seeing. People were everywhere just excited as I was to see one of the amazing Shakespeare's plays in action. Every sentence spoken during the play was so meaningful. They really made the set come alive and the people were spectacular. Shakespeare's play was wonderful. The actors knew just how to say every word. I enjoyed every minute of being there and the play really sent a message. I think anyone person in this world would enjoy it as much as I did and I would be ecstatic to be able to go to another one of his plays.

  5. Everything was just so perfect on this lovely evening. The Globe was breath-taking and the play was phenomenal! All the actors and actresses in the play were so deep into their character, it was truly amazing. The audience's eyes were glued to the stage wondering what was going to happen next. Shakespeare did a wonderful job with this play. I loved every minute of it and I got a clear picture in my head of everything that was going on. It was so well potrayed, and everything went so smoothly. I am thrilled to watch Shakespeare's next play!

  6. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. As a walked into the beautiful theater I held my breath in awe. The actors and actresses that took the stage were flawless. With such grace they acted out Shakespeares' best plays. I really felt as if I had traveled back in time hundreds of years when they plays were being written. Additionally I loved the globes circular shape. I felt as if the beautiful art was surrounding me. It provided me and the rest of the audience with an escape from reality. An opportunity to forget the modern world and travel back in time. For the two hours that the play was going on I forgot about all my troubles. I hope to be back some day and relive that wonderful experience.

  7. I stood there in the theater sandwiched between all of those people and I had payed a penny, but it was definitely worth it. I had a clear view of the platform stage and the balcony from the circular walls of the theater and I could see the actors very well. Their costumes were beautiful and elaborate. The scenes flowed from one to another cleanly and I was brought into the story of the play. I got to know the characters better and better throughout the performance and started to feel for them. The strength of the actor's passion was unbelievable and I could see that they were really into what they did. The actors, the costumes, and even the atmosphere of the theater all combined to make a wonderful show that I would be happy to rewatch again and again.

  8. I have always loved a good play. I remember my mother always bringing me to shows outside the inn up the street from our home when I was younger. Even though I did not understand much of what went on in the plays, I loved the beautiful costumes and emotions of the show. As I got older, I learned that a new place called The Globe opened just for plays and knew I must go. I will never forget the excitement I felt as I heard the clink of the penny into the payment jar and the chatter of all the others eager to get a spot to be able to see the show from. When I finally made it through the swarm of people what was inside the theatre took my breath away. All around me was balconies of seats overlooking a grand stage. There were multiple levels and the pillars holding the small ceiling just for the stage were elaborately decorated. The show itself was good, yet I very distracted and excited that someone had finally committed themselves to make a permanent home for the shows I loved so much.

  9. This was truly an evening I would never forget. The Globe’s structure was breathtaking and the details of the walls once I started to walk, unbelievable. I was lost for words. The actors in this Shakespeare’s play were so deep into character you could have sworn it was real life. My eyes were fixed on the play the entire time I wondered where the time went. When it was time to exit The Globe I was disappointed and could not wait until the next Shakespeare play would be there.

  10. Breathtaking. The first time I walked into The Globe I didn't know where to look first, it was stunning, breathtaking. The play was fantastic however at some points in time I could not help my eyes from wondering, finding knew intricate details all around. The wood work, the balconies and the mural that is on the ceiling were all breathtaking. The Globe is stunning and I cannot wait to go back there and see another play.

As I stepped through the big marble doors into Shakespeare's Globe, I couldn't believe my eyes.I was actually attending one of the famous Shakespeare's plays. I noticed many of the details and the hard work put into making this masterpiece of a stage. Every time I looked down at the stage I could feel the excitement in the air. The actors just made me feel like I was in the play, because they acted their parts perfectly. They could get into their characters completely, without any problems. The experience was so surreal, I was not sure what was true and what wasn't. There was so many things going on at once in the play. Trying to keep my attention fixed on the play the whole time and look at the details around the Globe kept me occupied the whole time. When the play was over, you could still feel the excitement in the air. Even as I left the Globe, I was happy that I had attended one of the plays, because it was a once in a lifetime experience. I doubt you would get the same feeling every play, since each one is different. If Shakespeare's play was showing again and I could go to it , I would leave immediately to see another one of Shakespeare's miracles.

  12. When I walked up to the Globe, the building was astounding. It was the largest building in our area, and everyone knew what it was for. Shakespeare himself was going to be here, and one of his plays was going to be showcased. We did not know which play however, because he enjoys surprising us. Because our family was an influential family, we have watched every Shakespeare play. They play the on the ides of every month, and our family loves going. The first thing I always notice when I walk in are the pillars. As I walk around the pillar, running my hand on the surface as I walk around, I notice how smooth it is. I also notice where the audience sits. There are three levels, and our family has a booth just for us on the third tier. The booth is great because it gives us an awesome view. The wood underneath my feet creak with the weight of all the people clamoring around, trying to get to their seats. The commoners sit on the first tier. When we do watch the play, the audience is dead silent. They are staring intently at the actors perform, and they see how they portray the roles they are given. Very rarely, an actor makes a mistake, which is very funny to me. Growing up and watching the actors, it makes me think of what I want to do, and watching the plays makes me want to become an actor. As I was leaving, the audience is always happy with the nature of the play, whether it is comedic or dramatic. I always look forward to the plays on the ides of the months.

  13. As I stepped into the arena, I couldn't help but stop dead in my tracks and gaze around the room. The ceiling above the stage was phenomenal. The details were so precise that during the play I couldn't help but focus on them. The play was wonderful but the arena and every little detail that covered the ceiling and the walls that surround the stage was what really caught my attention.

  14. The theater was rank with the stench of the vagrants, wandering in and out of the vestibule at the theater entrance. The screams and chants penetrated every corner of the stage, and great care had to be taken on the part of the players not to waver at the scent of the wretched odor. The art was almost lost in the muck and squalor of the outside world, dragged into the theater and left to line the benches that encompassed the stage in a near semi circle. A layer of dust and grime seemed to veil the superb craftsmanship and splendid details laid in place by the hands of skilled artisans. The drunken stupor of the crowd and the idiocy exhibited by the audience was unbecoming of such an establishment, but remains a testament to the times in which we live.

  15. This evening was one I will never forget. As I walked into "The Wooden O," the atmosphere was elctric. To think that Shakespeare writes his plays for this theater is mind blowing. The play itself was fantastic, but I think that the arena in which the play was performed overshadows it. Throughout the whole play, I could not help but to gaze around and think that I was in the same theater as Shakespeare.

The theater was beautiful. Just beautiful. I stopped dead in my tracks when I walked in and looked around for a minute, not noticing the people bumping into me trying to get in. The architecture was so incredible, and if the play wasn't as good as it was, I might still have been looking around during it. The play was amazing too. The actors were great and so were the words that came out of their mouths. I will remember it for the rest of my life.

  17. It was just amazing. The theater was stunning and the play itself was magnificent. All of the details in The Globe were perfect. It seemed like a dream. I hope I will get to go back soon to see another play. But I will never forget that day for the rest of my life.

  18. I remember that day just like it was yesterday. It was our anniversary, so I wanted to do something special for her. She always loved a good play, just like me, so I thought, what could be better than a day at the Globe Theater? Upon entrance, the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful, intricate costumes that the actors and actresses wore. Everything about The Globe was beautiful though. The stage. The banners. The screaming crowd. Me and my wife got in for only a penny, and were standing shoulder to shoulder with others for the duration of the play. Oh, that reminds me of the play. Oh the play was just astonishing. Even though there weren't anything decorations for the setting, you could imagine exactly where they were just from the vivid imagery provided by Shakespeare. The actors were phenomenal as well. Just everything about our experience at The Globe that day was so amazing, that we started going there every weekend from there on out. However, from all of my trips to the Globe Theater, that first time will always be more memorable and meaningful than the others.

  20. Oh yes, the fabulous Globe Theater. My wife and I were alone and finally able to have a night away from the kids. We had many great choices to decide from but we ended up deciding to see a play. We thought that it would be relaxing but also entertaining at the same time. My wife and I were astonished by the large marble doors that lead us inside of the theater. We did not know what to look at first, the stage, the yard, the middle gallery, or the upper gallery. My eyes led me to the stage. The first thing I noticed about the stage was its size. It was absolutely huge. I would have never thought that they needed that much amount of space just to perform the play. Next there was the yard. The yard was very big and had a large bridge on it connecting the stage to the ground. It was quite amazing. Then there was the middle gallery. It wasn’t too far up but it was high enough to get a good view of the stage. And finally there was the upper gallery. The upper gallery was very high up and had the best view of the stage. Everything there was absolutely incredible. There we stood in the Globe Theater ready to watch the greatest play of all time written by Shakespeare himself! We took our seats and saw how many people gathered to see a masterpiece written by William Shakespeare. In the specific seat that we sat in we had an excellent view, we could see the stage, and the expressions on the actor’s faces when they said their line. The elegant costumes that the actors wore were breathtaking. I still remember that night because it was not only the best play written by Mr. Shakespeare but it was also the greatest night of my life.

  21. The Globe was incredible! As soon as I walked into the theater I couldn't help but notice all of the beautiful details throughout the arena. To add to it, the play was amazing. 22. The Globe was an incredible experience for me and my family. I've always had a pasion for a good play. As I stepped into the beautiful building many thoughts came bursting through my mind. So many of Shakespears plays have been inspired and performed here. This very own building have had tremendous people acting in brilliant plays. I will never forget this day for as long as I live. I mean how could you forget the beautiful details all over this building. I'm so glad that we took this trip.

  23. I always heard that The Globe was incredible, but I never really knew how amazing it was until I went there. It wasn't huge in size or grand and fancy, but the unique structure and open space was really something new to take in. The detail and design is incredible, and so was the play. The language took a little getting used to, but once you did, it was great. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back there again.

  24. Entering the globe for the first time was breathtaking from all the beautiful details of the arena to the perfect performance by Shakespeare. Although being squished was not the best, just gazing at the unique red marble columns made it okay. The exquisite picture on the ceiling of the arena caught my eye with the sun and moon paired with animals and a man showing a message of power. Watching the play was incredible, all of the characters knew their part and performed it perfectly with no hesitation or fear. They portrayed their character flawlessly. I would go back everyday if I could to live the wonderful experience again.

My God this Shakespeare man is a genius Mamma! My wife Shelley forced me to see this and being the arrogant bull I can be finally gave in to see the play. I always thought as a young boy reading this stuff in English class was soo boring you know. But to see it here in this beautiful theater, it was amazing! The actors were oh my God unbelievable and were so well into it. I felt like I was right there witnessing this passionate love. I mean the acting was better than the movie The Shining for God's sake. True talent right there! By the way Mamma have you seen The Shining? Anyways I would watch it the play all day everyday. Maybe even add seeing this play one more time in my life on my bucket list. But my favorite thing of all I am getting teary eyed about this, was how amazing the architecture was. I was amazed on the skill and craftsmanship of the theater. From the marble of the stoned red pillers to the originality of the wooden arts made me feel a part of history Mamma! I should take you to places like this sometimes you know! Well enough about me and my fabulous time there, what about your day Mamma? Mamma? Mamma! Oh dear she hung up on me. Well anyways I still would go back to the beautiful theater again and watch the play with my family. Even myself if I have to.

  26. I've been in and out of this theater many times, but each time I come here, I am never failed to be astounded more and more. There's always some new detail to be noticed in the works of the building itself, yet it never takes away from the words of the actual show being produced. Even though the backdrop does not fit for every circumstance, this leaves the audience to put together their own idea of what the setting actually looks like. It adds more depth to the idea of the show and causes whomever may be watching it to think more for themselves. Also, with the shape of the theater being round, it allows the audience to surround the action that is going on, and notice the action from all different angles. Even after seeing a play more than once, watching it from a different angle usually never fails to give a new perspective on the situation.

I recall my first time entering the large structure known as the Globe. It's architecture was as complex as the plays lived through there. The Globe you see is not just a place it is place where ideas and dreams come to life. A place where romances are made and brutal deaths take place. Yes I recall my first time entering the Globe. When I was but a boy of eleven. However back then I thought of it as another boring place like the grocery store. Over time I grew to enjoy the plays. This is my first and current thoughts on the Globe.

  28. This was a very good play and an absolutely stunning arena in which the play was held. I had always liked a good play, and the beauty of the arena boosted it to the next level. The actors in the play were great, and the shear beauty of the arena's architecture made the play much better. If the play wasn't as good, the arena would back it up. If the arena was not as beautiful, the play would back it up. The Globe was truly magnificant,

  29. The Globe stuns me every time I walk into this sanctuary for culture and the fine arts. The plays that are presented there are stunning, making me cry and laugh along with everyone I'm watching. The architecture dazzled me the first time I visited, and it does repeatedly over and over again every time I visit the Globe. The arena just added to the affect of what was happening there, making me love the Globe all the better. The amazing skills of everyone I watch, the bedazzling scenery, and this arena that it's in is an amazing work of art. Joshua Tyler

  30. How shall I describe the Globe you ask? Well, that is a very good question. But first, another question must be asked: what is the the Globe. I know that those who have yet to experience such a place would call it simply a theater, but it is much more than that I can assure you. It isn't in fact just one place, but any place imaginable. It could be an ancient castle, a smokey old inn, or the vast wilderness of a faraway land. Its magnificence left me awe stricken, and that wasn't even the best part. The best part would have to be the ingenious works of art written by the one and only William Shakespeare. The shows are tremendous, and highly entertaining. The whole scene is full of life, and the people watch, on the edge of their seats, as each event smoothly occurs without falter, leading from one scene to the next. It was definitely worth the trek from Liverpool. I must have attended five plays during the week I was in London. It is the main attraction. So, now that you know what the Globe is, would you like to hear about how good it was...

  31. Everything was beautiful this evening. The Globe was stunning to look at and be in. The play was amazing! The actors and actresses were perfect and knew all of their lines and really made this play special.Shakespeare is a genius. It was the best play I have ever attended. I loved every second of it and my eyes were glued to the stage. It was pure genius and I can't wait to go see another.

  32. Many would say The Globe was a an experience of a lifetime, and maybe it was if you enjoyed being jammed into an area where you can barely see the stage, closer than you would like to people who probably haven't bathed in weeks. I guess I shouldn't have expected more seeing as i had only paid a penny for admission, but aside from the disgusting conditions of my viewing area the actual stage and entire Globe was a masterpiece of art, aside from the immense history that took place there. The admission was worth it just to view the stage, let alone view the entire play, with its elaborate decoration and gilded edgings, along with the gargantuan height of the galleries. Although the the my comfort as a a member of the audience might not have been of the utmost importance to Shakespeare, the ambiance and depth of the theater quickly make up for the the shortcomings in regards to my comfort

  33. Being inside the globe was breath-taking. The characters didnt seem like actors and actresses, meaning, they seemed as if they were the character they portrayed. It was hard to look away, not knowing what would happen next. When it ended it was hard to believe what i had just seen, such a beautiful story. I am exctatic to see Shakespeare's next play soon.

  34. I remember like it was yesterday. Mother and I had planned to go see a play at the Globe that day. We got dressed in nice sweaters, hopped a cab, and headed to the play. Mother and I had seen plenty of plays before and I thought this one would be like any other. I was most certainly wrong. The taxi pulled up to the Globe, and in an instant, my breath had been swept away. It's beauty! Oh, the beauty! Such grand architecture lay before me! Was this the building that the play was in? It couldn't be. Such a building should not be touched, or even looked at by the eyes of the poor. Such a beautiful structure seemed priceless to even look at. I hadn't even seen a scene from the play, but I just knew it was going to be great.
